Eligibility Criteria for the post of Professor on BPS-21:-

HEC Eligibility conditions for appointment of faculty in Engineering, Information Technology, and Computing disciplines in all HEIs / DAIs

Minimum Qualification

Ph.D. degree in relevant field, recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC.

Experience

15-years teaching/ research experience in a recognized Institution / College / University or 15-years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization out of which 5-years must be teaching experience.

OR

10-years post-Ph.D. teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

Minimum Number of 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in last five years in Publications HEC/PEC recognized journals.

Age Limit:

35-55 Year

Eligibility Criteria for the post of Professor on TTS:-(Consolidated Pay/ month Rs. 292,500/- Rs. 14,300/- Rs. 507,000/-)

Qualification & Experience:

PhD/ Relevant terminal qualification from a recognized and reputable Institution in the relevant field with either 11-years post Ph.D./ Relevant terminal degree or minimum of 7-years of post-PhD experience with at least 12 years of experience prior to the PhD.

The experience to be counted is to be of teaching / research in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Publications: 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the past 5 years) in international-ly abstracted Journals, recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission.

2. Associate Professor on BPS-20/TTS:-

1. Civil Engineering =01

2. Chemical Engineering = 01

3. Mechanical Engineering =01

4. Islamic Studies = 01

Eligibility Criteria for the Post of Associate Professor on BPS-20:-

Age Limit:

35-50 Year

HEC Eligibility conditions for appointment of faculty in Engineering, Information Technology, and

Minimum Qualification

Ph.D. in the relevant field from Institution recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC.

Experience

(Consolidated Pay/ month Rs. 195,000/- Rs. 11,375/- Rs. 365,625/-)

Qualification & Experience:

Ph.D / Relevant terminal qualification from a recognized and reputable Institution in the relevant field with either 6-years post-Ph.D./ Relevant terminal degree or minimum of 4-years of post-PhD experience with at least 6 years of experience prior to the PhD. The experience to be counted is to be of teaching / research in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

In addition 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the past 5 years) in Internationally Abstracted Journals, recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission.

3. Assistant Professor on BPS-19/TTS:-

1 Electrical Engineering = 02

2 Civil Engineering = 02

3 Physical Therapy = 01

5 Commerce (with the specialization in Finance) = 01

6 Bioinformatics and Biotechnology = 01

Minimum Qualification

First Class Master's Degree under Annual System and CGPA 3.00 / 4.00 under Semester System

OR

equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in the academic career from an HEC recognized University / Institution. Condition of no 3rd division shall not be applicable in the qualification of appointment as lecturer to the candidate holding a higher degree viz. M.Phil / Ph.D. or equivalent degree with not more than one 3rd division in entire academic career. Furthermore, the candidate with 2nd Division in the Master's Degree but holding higher degree i.e. MPhil / PhD or equivalent degree with 18 years of education could be Considered.

Duly filled in application form must be supported with attested copies of educational testimonials/ certificates, I.D. Card, three recent photographs and updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).

2. The candidates from abroad may submit their applications on prescribed Application & Bio-data Form, available on the University website, accompanied by Bank Draft of US $ 50/- on the name of Treasurer Government College University, Faisalabad and attested copies of all necessary testimonials, ID card, recent photograph, updated CV on the given address.

3. Candidates applying for the positions of Engineering disciplines must attach the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration certificates.

4. Incomplete or the applications received after due date will not be entertained.

5. The candidates for the positions of Professor and Associate Professor are required to submit Five (05) sets of applications and candidates for remaining posts are required to submit Three (03) sets on the prescribed Form along with attested copies of degree, result cards, transcripts, certificates along with research publications.

5. In case, degree has not been issued, a certificate to that effect signed by the Controller of Examinations might be accepted. In all cases, statement of experience must be supported by certificates by employers.

6. The Selection Board, on the basis of performance in the Interview, can recommend any candidate on contract basis.

7. The candidates applying for more than one post shall submit separate Job Application Form with necessary documents, complete in all respects.

8. The University reserves the right not to consider any application or not to fill any post without assigning any reason.

9. The candidate already in Service must apply through proper channel by the due date.

10. For the candidate(s), applying on TTS positions for Assistant Professor, following one of the conditions, is mandatory:

(i) Evaluation of Ph.D. thesis by at least two experts of technologically academically advanced countries.

OR

(ii) At least two publications in HEC recognized Journals. (In either case evidence must be attached)

11. Certificate of Post-graduate teaching experience in the relevant subject, clearly mentioning the duration of Post-graduate teaching experience, and other experience certificates, duly issued from the office of the Competent Authority must be attached. No advantage, whatsoever, would be given if Experience Certificates are not attached.

12. For the positions of Lecturer Civil Engineering, Law, Operation Theater Technology, Radiology and Imaging Technology and Physical Therapy MPhil / MS / LLM / Master Degree from a foreign University in the relevant subject duly recognized by the HEC is mandatory.

13. For the Positions of Art & Design candidates having degrees in Painting, Graphic Design, Textile Design and Fashion Design are required.

14. For Assistant Professor of Biochemistry preference would be given to those candidates having experience in the Department of Zoology.

15. For the Position of Associate Professor of Education preference would be given to the candidates having Ph.D in Special Education.

16. For Assistant Professor of Allied Health Professional, the Candidates having BSc in MLT and Ph.D in Biochemistry would be preferred.

17. The Candidates must attach HEC equivalence Certificate(s), where applicable, otherwise their applications would not be entertained / considered.

18. Applications complete in all respects must reach the Recruitment Cell, Registrar Office Government College University, Faisalabad not later than 03.04.2018.

Note:

• Three percent (03 %) quota will be reserved for disabled persons as per direction of Government of the Punjab.

• If the candidate is disabled he/she will have to submit a certificate from the Provincial Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons of Social Welfare Department. However, the disabled persons are exempted from the condition of demand draft.
